Space Impulse, founded in 2017 in London, UK, set out to create a global B2B marketplace for the space industry to reduce costs and accelerate time-to-orbit. The platform utilized blockchain and smart contracts to bring security, transparency, and standardization to space mission procurement and supply chain integration. By streamlining the industry’s supply chain on a single online platform, Space Impulse aimed to clear bottlenecks and empower a more efficient space economy. The startup remained small and self-funded, and in 2019 it was acquired and rebranded as Space Insider, shifting focus to space industry data intelligence services under parent company Resonance.
