About

Incorporated in 2024, Star Catcher Industries is building the Star Catcher Network – a system of solar-power collection satellites (Power Nodes) that beam energy to customer satellites’ solar arrays on a pay-as-you-go basis. The company’s Power Nodes will collect ambient solar energy in low Earth orbit and transmit broad-spectrum energy (at intensities up to 10 times that of the Sun) to client spacecraft without any retrofit. By supplying satellites with on-demand power, Star Catcher aims to extend mission lifetimes, augment capabilities, and enable new high-power space applications. The startup’s founders include Andrew Rush and Michael Snyder, veterans of in-space manufacturing, and it recently raised a $12.25M seed round to begin building its first demonstration satellites.
