Skyrora

Skyrora (UK, founded 2017) is a launch vehicle company building the Skyrora XL rocket to deliver small satellites to orbit. The three-stage rocket is designed to lift up to ~315 kg to sun-synchronous orbit and is fueled by an eco-friendly propellant combination (kerosene with hydrogen peroxide as oxidizer). Skyrora has tested multiple rocket engines and performed suborbital test launches of smaller vehicles. In addition to the launch rocket, Skyrora has developed an orbital transfer vehicle (Space Tug) to reposition satellites once in orbit, expanding its service offerings. The company is part of the UK’s effort to establish domestic launch capability and has plans for launches from Space Hub Sutherland in Scotland. Skyrora aims to conduct the first Skyrora XL orbital launch in the mid-2020s, joining the competitive field of small launch providers.
